OPALIZED WOOD is a type of petrified wood that is composed of Opal rather than Chalcedony or other mineral material. It almost always consists of common Opal, without play of colour but rare instances of petrified wood composed of precious opal are known.

OPALIZED WOOD forms most commonly is in a forest covered by volcanic ashfall. The ash buries the plants and saves them from decay, overtime it moves into the cavities of the wood and replaces the woody materials. Mostly petrified wood is composed of Chalcedony but in some cases its composed of Opal.

OPALIZED WOOD has a strong grounding energy and will help make a strong connection with the base and earth chakra and Mother Gaia.
